The interplay between colors and how they bring out our emotions is very interesting to me. Not just in art, but in architecture and design and beyond as well.
I love how you can have a color, and by simply adding another next to it, the two independent colors both seem to change completely.
My personal palette has changed a lot over the years. When I was first exhibiting my range of colors was extremely limited and quite somber. As time when on my work enlivened to a near fever pitch of super rich, saturated color.
This became a hallmark of the work for a decade. Now I feel myself settling into a more nuanced, quieter moment color-wise. These days I feel more focused on depth of color more than range.
